The Architecture of Performance. The Heart of a Human.
In 1999, I gave my first apartment tour and fell in love with this industry — the people, the conversations, the impact. Over the next 13 years, I worked across every type of property and saw the same truth everywhere: good people were working inside broken systems.
That curiosity led me to pursue a double Masters (MBA and MSIRE) in 2012, which launched my eight-year tenure at RealPage. I wanted to master the data side of the business—pricing logic, forecasting, KPIs, and how revenue actually moves. I helped owners understand their numbers, build dashboards, and model the metrics that mattered most. That experience grounded everything I believed about performance: the numbers always tell the truth.
Later, when I launched LeasingTemps, I stepped back onsite — including through the middle of a pandemic — supporting teams in real time. In that season, the Band‑Aid worked. Teams needed hands, and we showed up. But as the industry came out of crisis, the same pattern returned: the system was still broken. A new body in a broken seat only delays the leak.
By the time I was 75% into a full rebrand — ShellzTheTrainer, ShellzTheRecruiter, Training Shopz — the clarity finally hit me:
This wasn’t a staffing problem.

This was an operating system problem.
